Orofacial granulomatosis is a chronic relapsing-remitting inflammatory condition that shares a similar phenotypic presentation to some other granulomatous diseases as Crohn’s disease. Various etiological agents such as food additives, dental materials, and various microbiological agents have been implicated in the disease process, its precise pathogenesis is yet to be elucidated. Delayed type of hypersensitivity reaction appears to play a significant role. The aim of this article is to report a case of OFG with its clinical presentation, and etiology. It also projects the challenges that a professional has to face in the diagnosis and treatment planning of such cases.  

Rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS) of the parotid gland is an exceedingly rare malignancy in children, accounting for less than 1.5% of salivary gland tumors, with a high-grade aggressive nature and poor prognosis. We report a case of a 15-year-old female presenting with a painless, progressively enlarging swelling in the right preauricular region with associated facial nerve paresis and systemic nodules. Diagnostic imaging revealed extensive lesion involvement in the parotid, masticator, and retromaxillary spaces with distant metastases. Histopathology and immunohistochemistry confirmed embryonalrhabdomyosarcoma. Despite initial response to chemotherapy with the VAC regimen, the tumor recurred within nine months, necessitating orbital exenteration for metastatic orbital involvement. This case highlights the importance of early multidisciplinary management combining surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy for improving outcomes in this rare and aggressive malignancy. Inclusion of such cases in multicenter trials is essential to advance therapeutic strategies.

Background: Polycystic ovary (PCOS) is the most frequent endocrine condition among reproductive-aged women. Aim of the study: To determine the LH, FSH, Testosterone , HbA1c, antioxidant status and oxidative stress of females with polycystic ovarian syndrome. Materials and methods: This study From December 2023 to April 2024, Tikrit Governorate collected 90 samples (60 POC women and 30 healthy women) from 60 female patients (15–45 years old) with severe polycystic ovary syndrome. A control group of 30 ladies without polycystic ovary syndrome was also included. Both groups were tested for Glutathione (GSH) and Malondialdehyde (MDA) , HbA1c Luteinizing hormone (LH), follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), and testosterone. Result: The study found higher levels of LH, Testosterone, and HbA1c in women with PCOs (11.26±4.58, 0.93±1.77, 5.54±0.47) compared to healthy women (5.71± 3.95, 0.38±0.2, 4.12±0.73) at p-value <0.05. There were no significant variations in FSH levels between women with PCOs (8.11±3.15, 8.75± 2.91) and healthy women (p-value >0.05). Serum GSH levels in women with PCOS were lower than those in healthy women (15.49±2.99 vs. 21.93±3.14), with p-value< 0.05.Vitamin C levels were lower in PCOS women compared to healthy women (1.13±0.13, 1.25±0.19), p-value < 0.05. In PCOS, MDA levels were higher than in healthy women (31.67±3.53, 17.23±1.23), with p-value > 0.05. Conclusion: Antioxidants may serve as a beneficial adjunct therapy in the management of polycystic ovarian syndrome, perhaps mitigating oxidative damage and addressing metabolic and reproductive abnormalities linked to infertility in this condition.

Suicide is a major public health concern all over China, and it is one of the top causes of mortality among American young people. There have been significant shifts in teenage suicide, particularly among young females, with the recent uptick in the suicide rate in the United States. That's why it's crucial that they have a firm grasp on the many circumstances that might lead young people to attempt suicide. The clinical and psychological risk factors for suicidal conduct may be predicted to assist identify treatment choices and have empirical value if they were linked to the underlying neurobiological and cognitive abnormalities associated with suicidal behaviour. Their model of possible explanation proposes that changes in suicidal behaviour may have causal importance across several levels of explanation, including developmental, biological (genomics, proteome, epigenetics, immunological), and psychological/clinical. Therefore, their model offers a unified hypothesis to better comprehend this multifaceted finding by bringing together findings from various areas of research on suicidality and making an effort to clarify the relationship between neurobiological, genetic, and clinical observations in the field of suicide study. Understanding the complex interplay of psychological, biological, sociobiological, and clinical risk factors is essential for developing effective preventative approach plans for suicidal ideation and suicide.
