Abstract
The letter provides a critical review of a previous article on the pathophysiology and neurological manifestations of COVID-19. It highlights new data and studies that have emerged since the publication of the reviewed article, particularly regarding neuropathological findings in COVID-19 patients. The letter also discusses additional neurological complications and considerations, such as the impact of cardiac manifestations on cerebral disease, the neurotoxic effects of certain drugs used in COVID-19 treatment, and the increasing evidence of Guillain-Barre syndrome in COVID-19 patients. Overall, the letter emphasizes the need for thorough neurological investigations in COVID-19 patients presenting with neurological or psychiatric symptoms.
