This work focused on the Dualism in the activities of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Towards Nuclear Non- Proliferation. The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is the sole international Organization charged with preventing nuclear proliferation. In its over 70 years of existence, it has succeeded in preventing other countries except for those that have already tested and acquired nuclear weapons from obtaining and proliferating nuclear weapons and the technology to assemble one. The common claim is that the activities of the IAEA towards nuclear proliferation is only on inspecting nuclear facility, thus, preventing military purposes. More worrisome but engaging is that this notion limits the activities of the IAEA to preventing military might alone. This paper, therefore, re-examine the dualism in the activities of the International Atomic Energy Agency towards non-proliferation. Focusing on the activities of IAEA, the paper finds out that it plays a role of peaceful technical nuclear co-operation. The paper, thus argues that the IAEA is also involved in humanitarian work. This it does together with its main function of ensuring and preventing countries from proliferation of nuclear weapons and materials. In the course of writing this work, secondary sources of material were used. This work takes on an analytical approach method to the study. The research work was conducted through a critical analysis of the dualism in the activities of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Towards Nuclear Non-Proliferation.

Water shortage is broadly understood as the lack of access to adequate quantities of water for human and environmental uses. India’s two-third area is drought prone and per capita water availability is progressively decreasing. The Marathwada region is facing a year after year water shortage problem. During summer, the water problem goes from bad to worse. In the Marathwada region, there is only 600 mm to 700 mm of annual rainfall, which is the lowest as compared to other parts of the state. Due to less rainfall and no consistent supply of natural water, the groundwater level has depleted to 300 feet below the ground. The present study found that there is not enough water for a family in a year, so there is no daily drinking water supply in normal as well as drought period in affected villages in Vaijapur taluka. According to 80 percent of respondents, people depend on community taps, wells and hand pumps for drinking water during the normal period and it’s depend on community water delivery tankers in the drought period. This study also focuses on solving the problem of water shortage, according to sample households that it will be solved after implementation of Jalayukta Shivar Abhiyan and well and borewell recharge through rain water supply through administrative level. According to 80 percent of respondents, this problem will be solved through public participation in water conservation works, as well as water conservation works under the Paani Foundation

Agriculture is not only an important occupation of the people, but also a way of life, culture and customs. In India, the agriculture sector, the largest user of water, is constantly facing an acute shortage of surface, as well as underground water. Therefore, it is needful to judicious use of the available water resources in India. Major and medium irrigation projects have contributed to the development of water resources. But, these water resources are inefficient for conventional methods of irrigation and lead to wastage of water. Micro irrigation is a newly introduced system in the country. Research has been carried out on the application and evaluation of micro irrigation for some major crops like sugar cane, bananas, fruits, vegetables and cotton. This irrigation method is considered the best for bringing about water use efficiency along with improved crop productivity. The present study found that year wise newly created drip irrigation area in Vaijapur taluka has increased from 975.36 (ha) to 2987.17 (ha) during the study period (i.e.2013-14 to 2019-20) except two years i.e. 2014-15 and 2015-16. In case of irrigation intensity in Vaijapur taluka is low as compared to the district average. It is also found that all cultivated crops under drip irrigation method are profitable during the study period, i.e. toor, sunflower, watermelon, cotton, gram, papaya in Vaijapur taluka. So, it is needed to create awareness among the farming community about the use of micro irrigation techniques through organizing workshops, seminars, conferences, training courses and various audiovisual methods for sustainable agricultural development.

Bangladesh has accomplished a remarkable improvement in poverty purge during last ten years because of the committed endeavors of the government and the appropriate and viable execution of different public and private advancement exercises. According to the Bangladesh Economic Review-2021 the poverty rate in Bangladesh has been declined to 24.3 percent in 2016, which was 40.0 percent in 2005, According to the latest estimate poverty rate stood at 20.5 percent in 2018-19 and extreme poverty stood at 10.5 percent. Divisional poverty rate has been reduced in all other division in 2016 compare to 2010 except Rangpur Division. This division carries the highest incidence of poverty that is about 47.2 percent. In FY 2020-21 a total of TK. 95,683 crore has been allocated in the revised budget for ensuring social safety of the poor population. The proportion of households having access to improve and hygiene sanitation has gone up to around 84 Percent in 2019 from 56 Percent in 2012. The rate of increase in primary school completion rate is somewhat stagnant. The primary school completion rate has amplified by only 0.65 percentage point per year from 2012 to 2019. Households having access to safe drinking water and electricity are correspondingly 98.5 Percent and 92.23 Percent. The portion of health care area crested at 6.53 percent in FY 2017. Notwithstanding, it has again dropped to 4.9 percent in 2020. The purpose of this study was to analyze the billboard tax control system in increasing local taxes at the Medan City BPPRD. This research is included in the type of descriptive research. In this study, quantitative and qualitative data types were used. The sources of data used by the author in conducting this research are secondary data in the form of written data, such as reports on targets and realization of advertisement tax revenues and primary data in the form of interviews. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis, namely by analyzing local tax report data regarding the target and realization of advertisement tax revenue, then conclusions are drawn from the target data and the realization of advertisement tax revenue. The results showed that the billboard tax control system at the Medan City Tax and Levy Management Agency had not been running well because the Medan City Regional Tax and Levy Management Agency still lacked resources (facilities and ASN) which became an obstacle in the process of supervising the billboard tax. In addition, the factors that cause the advertisement tax not to reach the target are because there is still a lot of lack of public knowledge of the advertisement tax, in this case the lack of socialization by related parties, the lack of awareness of taxpayers in reporting their advertisement tax to the related parties.

The caste system has undergone many changes, many people have predicted its soon demise, but it has proven to stay. Many theories such as Sanskritization by M.N. Srinivas have been written about the caste system and many studies showed that caste has retreated, though not disappeared, from several spheres of life. A delinking of occupation and caste, increased inter-caste and interreligious marriages and the status of a person is increasingly measured not by traditional hereditary factors such as caste but individual parameters such as wealth, job security and career chances, that are factors which can individually be acquired. Thus researchers said that class will supplant caste, but recent research has shown that it would be better not to see these two as opposed to each other and rather study the similarities. We have researched in rural and urban areas with in purposefully selected areas in Goa with people from many different social backgrounds, religions, caste and as well tribal background. We have opted to use mainly qualitative research. The open-ended informal interview or semi-structured interview with an interview guide was mostly used as it provides best insight in how people perceive their life and changes. Due to social changes such as democratization after Liberation from the Portuguese colonial rule in 1961, the Land Tiller’s Act which transferred the land from the owners to the tillers and migration, which offered especially to the former working class higher incomes, caste markers have undergone changes as well. A significant change to individual choices from inherited traditional caste rules could be observed, which depended on individually acquired characteristics. Hereditary traditional factors such as caste, which by definition are non-personal, retreated to the background. As caste is seen by many as discrimination, people try to get rid of it or hide it as much as possible. That means that obvious caste markers such as names of wards indicating one’s profession or caste background cannot be used anymore, as the composition of castes in wards have changed as well. Profession and caste has been decoupled, the sitting order in the church does not indicate caste anymore and other traditional caste markers have become obsolete. Thus people have found out new markers in order to orient themselves in their social world. These factors were for instance language. The accent of course could be changed, as certain accents were related to specific varnas and as well jaatis. As ward names have changed, the setting and look of wards became important, such as the space in front of the house and the absence or presence of agricultural tools or harvest versus flower beds and expensive children’s toys were gauged. The style of the house, how many stories and the style of color and decoration were considered as well. The behavior and demeanor became very important as well as the style of clothes and jewelry one was wearing. As well how feasts and parties were celebrated. These individual factors of gauging the status of a person did have significant influences and repercussions on social set up in urban and very strong as well in rural areas. The member composition or formal and informal meetings and local NGOs are due to personal interest and skills. Thus hot issues in villages are decided by expected personal gain and interest. Professions get a new ranking according to career chances and income, dining with others depends on personal liking. Despite this emerging class character, we should not see class and caste dichotomous, as people use either of them in different situations depending on what they feel might get them better chances to advance to their goals. Seeing caste and class as complimentary and not dichotomous halps to better understand social changes in progress.

In literature one could see that migration has had a big influence on the economic situation of the migrants and in many aspects of everyday life such as housing quality, household gadgets, education or spending money they differ from non-migrants. The study was conducted in a purposefully selected area in Goa where there are many migrants from different social backgrounds, religions, caste and as well tribal background. We have decided to use mainly qualitative research. The open-ended informal interview or semi-structured interview with an interview guide was mostly used as it provides “opportunities for both interviewer and interviewee to discuss some topics more in detail,” [1]. Migration started as a means to get work outside of Goa because in their homeland there was a dearth of possibilities to work. The economic factor was prevailing. Over the years the social component was rising in importance. Apart from monetary factors such as economy it provided an identity for people who were trying to get rid of their background dominated by caste and profession. Migration provided them with a new identity which allowed them to get rid of old stereotypes connected with caste and varna respectively jaati. Their profession turned into a biography generator. It gave them a new outlook and status. It provided them with a biography beyond traditional categories such as caste and its related profession and thus fixed ranks in society. There was the need for a new identity and migration provided the means to achieve this. After the weakening of traditional fixed hereditary factors which largely cemented one’s status and identity, a more fluid system was made possible for many people through migration. Thus migration fulfills many functions such as a source of income, a new status, a biography and a new self-esteem. The visual diversity of migrants in Goa is not just a consequence of the increasing number of migrants. Apart from these quantitative factors the visual diversity and the omnipresence of migrants in Goa are a projection of their new identity. Migration has helped them to rid them off old hereditary categories which were heavily burdened with stereotypes. But already the group of migrants per se undermines old categories of religion and caste, because migrants come from different religious and social backgrounds and can therefore not be brought neatly in one of the old categories. Additionally, even within the loose group of migrants there are different groups according to personally acquired characteristics such as profession, income, education and destination of their work. The borders are more fluid and can contrary to caste be transcended very easy. This class character adds to its popularity for changing respectively generating one’s identity. Thus the visual omnipresence is an expression of their new self-esteem. There is no longer the need for hiding one’s background, now one’s identity is prominently on display. Symbols constantly change their meaning, become obsolete or new symbols arise. They are or can be the gauge of change and reflect society while at the same time society choses its own symbols. This symbiotic relation emphasizes the function of symbols, as on the one hand they are produced by people and people are at the same time influenced by them. Many of the new symbols are associated with migrants and indicate that they are proud of their new status and want to project and demonstrate their presence. The wheel of ships is a very prominent symbol which can be seen on icing of cakes, as tattoo, carved on the wooden entrance doors, fences of gardens, T-shirts sponsoring local football clubs. This symbol can as well very often be seen together with ships. The ship can appear as well on icing of cakes, as tattoo and as floats on Christmas or on a carnival procession on a truck during the annual Carnival and other structures in the shape of a ship such as a building. That means that these symbols do not just appear on individual places belonging to the private sphere, but are as well very prominent in the public sphere. This visibility shows that migration is not just an economic activity, but provides people with a new biography generator and identity which they are proud to present prominently in public and private.

This work focused on the Cold War and Bipolarization of International System. The Cold War, a reference to the ideological warfare between the West and East blocs. The era, had its origin from the East/West relations which before 1945 appeared to be cordial, but the cordiality was however superficial, the true situation of their relations was like an atomic bomb waiting to explode.in other words, the relations were far from cordial, it was a situation of mutual distrust, a form of mutual ambition aimed at colonizing the world with either capitalist or socialist ideology which was made manifest in the years ao the Secon World War, where their intensions were always in disharmony with characteristics of deceit, lies, manipulation and eventually metamorphosed into the concept of Cold War aft6er World War II. This era heralded the advent of the most destructive instruments in the annals of humans’ development–the Atomic Bomb and the Ballistic Missiles. The presence of these instruments in the midst of humanity, gave rational beings something to worry about The study employed the historical methods which emphasize description, thematic presentation, interpretation and analysis of facts. Information for this study was obtained from secondary sources like textbooks, journal articles, magazines and so on were used. The findings show that the Cold War between United States of America and Soviet Union Relations violated international peace and polarized the international system.

An ontological turn has been observed in the social life during the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic. The pandemic has not only affected Zimbabwe; its foot prints have been felt world over. The disease has affected millions of people worldwide, with more deaths recorded, particularly in the western world. In the Zimbabwean culture, a great conflict is now the order of the day where the social order is desecrated due to the pandemic. The cultural fabric, where people socialise by gathering at funerals, nhimbes, or other social ceremonies are now forbidden. Hand shaking which is considered humane among the Shona people is no longer allowed. In as much as social distance is considered a viable alternative to reduce the spread of the pandemic, is social distancing not separating families further apart? This paper unraveled the conflict of interest between social customs and the Covid-19 pandemic. Is social distancing really the way out in combating the pandemic? Would the social life remain the same or there would be a completely turnover? Would the orthodox Indigenous Religious people swallow the new order or they would relegate it to the dust bin? These and other issues were dealt with in this discussion. For this paper, a qualitative paradigm was used. Tools of data collection included observations, interviews and document analysis. Quantitative paradigm was included when it came to the statistics of the pandemic. Thus, triangulation came in play in the presentation of the findings. At the end of the paper, a synthesis was made in relation to the matter at hand and proffers a way forward that gives harmony between customs and the pandemic.

The purpose of the paper is to examine the damnation of the resurrected cats in Stephen King’s “Pet Sematary” and Edgar Allan Poe’s “The Black Cat”. The paper will testify the resemblance of the two resurrected cats’ manifestation and their role as a curse that turns the life of the protagonists’ upside-down and leads to their miserable destiny.

Rural development programs in rural areas have been implemented for various purposes. Among them, various programs are also implemented for the elimination of unemployment. For this, the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGA) is working in the name of Mahatma Gandhi as the most effective program at present. Prior to this program, employment guarantee scheme was working in Maharashtra. The scheme is now covered under MGNREGA. The government has made efforts to eradicate unemployment all over the country with the objective of making this program very widespread. Initially, only 12 districts from Maharashtra were included on an experimental basis. It included Aurangabad district.

India’s foreign policy, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has undergone significant transformation as it seeks to redefine its role both regionally and globally. The shift is best reflected in its attempts to reinvigorate ties with the countries in ‘extended neighbor-hood’, especially South East Asia as the region is not only economically crucial but also strategically very important for India. ‘Look East’, initiated in 1991, was rechristened to ‘Act East’ by Modi government in 2014 to enhance the level of engagement with ASEAN countries. Among them, Myanmar and Indonesia hold special significance for India. India, in recent years, has taken several initiatives to establish greater connectivity with both Myanmar through the ‘gateway’ of Northeast using culture as a tool of diplomacy. The paper would endeavor to comprehensively analyze the dynamics of India’s regional diplomacy and its evolving engagement with Myanmar and Indonesia. It would also attempt to argue for moving beyond state-centric and state-driven approach towards adopting a people-centric and people-driven connectivity approach that would involve Northeast provinces and their people as active stakeholders in India’s diplomatic initiatives with Myanmar.
