Abstract
This research examined the “Effectiveness of Employee Training and Development Programmes” between 2010 and 2015 at the Province education department in the Zambézia province in particular at the district of Quelimane. The research study will reveal to the employee community and the society in general in Quelimane the importance of employee training progrmmes to the employee a and the employers. The study will involve the writer to meet the target population in that case the Qualitative Research Methodology because the target population for the study gives their answers to questions based on their experiences, beliefs and general knowledge they have on the current situation of the training and development courses in so doing the suitable data collection instruments for the research study were the interviews guided by questionnaires. The theoretical, conceptual and conceptual frameworks, these experiences have been applied and the idea was to guide the researcher of this thesis to find an effective and valid rout as a means of obtaining a true and valid result about the „examination of the effectiveness of employee training and development programmes at province education department in Quelimane - Zambezia‟. The Human Resource Management is the main part of the research study and the detailed areas were the Roles of the human resource department, the importance of employee training and development programme from the employee and employer`s point of view, on where, when, who and how to attend a training course. These were some of the ideas presented in this thesis in HRD. Different types of trainings, how to design and asses a training this were also not left aside in the thesis. The triangulation process where different expressions were applied like the „Trustworthiness‟, „Applicability‟, „Reliability‟ and „Validity‟, in brief, these expressions have been applied to enhance the value of the results obtained. In other words, the expressions applied are to add trustworthiness, credibility of the research results.
