Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) is one of the most common sexually transmitted infections (STIs) in the world, affecting millions of people globally. This study aims to explore the knowledge and awareness about Human Papilloma Virus among general public of Himachal Pradesh. Material & Methods: Between January 2023 and March 2023, a cross-sectional survey of Himachal Pradesh people was conducted using a Google form. The Google form was circulated to state residents in both rural and urban regions up until 400 responses were gathered, asking for responses via email and social media sites like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and WhatsApp groups. We gathered information on their sociodemographic characteristics and knowledge of the human papilloma virus. The required statistical tests were performed on the data using the Epi info v7 programme. Results: A total of 400 respondents took part in the study, with 248 (62%) coming from rural areas and 152 (38%) from urban areas. The majority's participants included 388 (97 percent) Hindus, 262 (65.5 percent) males, 171 (42.75 percent) people in their 18 to 30s, 151 (37.75 percent) graduates, 262 (65.5 percent) working people, and 237 (59.25 percent) married people. In the present study 27.25% (109) participants had very good knowledge (16-20 marks) towards Human Papilloma Virus, 40.5% (162) had good knowledge (12-15 marks), 17.75% (71) had fair knowledge (8-11 marks) and 14.5% (58) having poor knowledge (<8 marks). Conclusion: In our study there is a lack of awareness and knowledge among the general public about virus and its transmission, prevention, and treatment options. Therefore, there is a need for targeted public health campaigns and educational programs to improve awareness and understanding of HPV and its link to cervical cancer. Additionally, efforts should be made to increase access to HPV vaccination and cervical cancer screening services.

Charu Sharma,
Ambudhar Sharma
Background: It is uncertain how much of the general public is aware of the symptoms and risks associated with myocardial infarction. Given that it is a catastrophic disorder, understanding the risk factors, early warning signs, and symptoms may help to reduce morbidity and mortality in the population. The purpose of this study was to determine how well-versed Himachal Pradesh populace was in it.
Material & Methods: This cross-sectional survey of Himachal Pradesh residents was carried out between January 2023 and March 2023 using Google forms. Until 400 replies were gathered, the questionnaire was distributed among state citizens in both rural and urban areas via email and social media sites such Whatsapp groups, Facebook, Instagram, and Linkedin. We gathered information on their sociodemographic traits and their awareness of the risk and mitigating factors for heart attack. Epi info v7 software was used to analyse the data using the necessary statistical tests.
Results: In the current study, 58% (232) of the participants were over 40 years old whereas 42% (168) of the participants were under 40. Among the Participants 51% (204) were men and 49% (196) were women. In our study, 57 (14.25%) study participants had very good knowledge (>10 marks) of the signs and symptoms of a heart attack, 224 (56%) had good knowledge (>7 marks), 70 (17.5%) had fair knowledge (>4 marks), and 49 (12.25%) had poor knowledge (4 marks) of the risk factors for a heart attack. The knowledge of study participants on risk factors for heart attacks was distributed as follows: 52 (13%) had very good knowledge (9–10 marks), 244 (61%) had good knowledge (7-8 marks), 69 (17.25%) had fair knowledge (4-6 marks), and 35 (8.75%) had poor knowledge (4 marks).
Conclusion: The survey's findings lead us to the conclusion that the people of Himachal Pradesh generally lack knowledge of the signs, symptoms, and risk factors associated with a heart attack. In order to inform the most vulnerable members of the population, awareness programmes are essential.

Oral Manifestations of Myasthenia Gravis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Pernicious Anemia, Graft Vs Host Disease, Linear IgA Disease and Chronic Bullous Disease of Childhood

The autoimmune-associated disorders are a set of illnesses that, despite being relatively rare, may result in extended periods of unsuccessful intervention due to the lack of a conclusive diagnosis on the one hand and the lack of familiarity with efficient treatments on the other. The care of the disease as a whole may involve other locations besides the oral cavity. The mouth is frequently the precursor or predictor of more severe lesions, providing an opportunity for early intervention, prompt consultation with other members of the medical team, and perhaps even a reduction in overall morbidity from these disorders. The health of patients will be significantly impacted by early detection of autoimmune disorders, and an oral physician may be the first to identify any mouth symptoms that require urgent care. Therefore, recognising these autoimmune diseases will aid in preventing new problems. In this article, we described the oral manifestations of Myasthenia Gravis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Pernicious Anemia, Graft Vs Host Disease and Linear IgA Disease and Chronic bullous disease of childhood in detail.
