Abstract
The meaning of leadership will be built by a person's character in depth. Military organizations with a firm command system are very easy to identify the character and career of each personnel whose skills an d experience are built starting from the rank or position that continues to increase from the lowest to the highest. Through a qualitative descriptive analysis based on field studies, it was foun d that currently the military leadership paradigm has shifted towards a more open and democratic one. The theoretical approach based on the strategic leadership of Purnomo Yusgiantoro’s Model and Full Ran ge Transformational Model show that democratic military leaders will be more effective in producing accurate decisions.
