Cyber Schooling: A Study on the Higher Education Learners

Cyber learning also referred to as online learning is a rapid growing educational approach in today’s world of advanced technology. Usage of technology has become an integral part of our each and every aspect of life. It is absolutely unavoidable in educational concern. In the present study, attempts were made to explore the attitude of Undergraduate level students in regard to cyber schooling or online learning. The researchers have selected 290 Undergraduate level students from two UG colleges in Purulia district of West Bengal as the sample of the study using stratified random sampling technique. A self-made structured Attitude scale on cyber schooling was developed and used by the researchers to collect the required data. The data were analysed by applying appropriate statistical techniques using SPSS 26. The results revealed that there were no significant differences between Male and Female & Rural and Urban Undergraduate level students respectively in their attitudes towards cyber schooling. While, significant difference was found between the attitudes of Science & Arts stream Undergraduate students in this regard. No differences were found between the attitudes of Rural Male & Urban Male, Urban Female & Rural Female, Rural Male & Rural Female and Urban Female & Urban Male Undergraduate students towards cyber schooling respectively. The attitudes of Arts Male & Arts Female and Science Male & Science Female Undergraduate students were found almost similar in regard to cyber schooling.
