Participants were selected based on specific inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data on demographic and clinical characteristics were collected, and hearing loss was assessed using pure tone audiometry. The degree of hearing impairment was charted on audiograms. Results: The mean age of participants was 45.19 ± 7.03 years, with the majority being female (51.3%), homemakers (46%), and residing in rural areas (82%). The prevalence of SNHL was 50%. Most participants had diabetes for 1-3 years (42%), with FBS &amp;gt;126 mg/dL (50.7%), PPBS &amp;gt;200 mg/dL (62%), and HbA1c ≥6.5% (82.7%). SNHL was present in 50% of participants. A significant association was found between age and SNHL (p&amp;lt;0.001), with higher prevalence in older age groups. Conclusion: The study highlights significant association between SNHL andage. These findings underscore the importance of monitoring hearing health in diabetic patients to manage and mitigate potential hearing impairments.
</article-meta></front><body /><back /></article>
