P.) , 176310</aff-id><abstract>Background: Comprehensive Cardiopulmonary Life Support (CCLS) is a vital component of emergency medical care, crucial for enhancing survival rates in patients experiencing cardiac arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies. Interns, often first responders in such situations, play a critical role in executing CCLS. This study aims to assess the awareness and knowledge of CCLS among interns at Pt Jawahar Lal Nehru Government Medical College, District Chamba, Himachal Pradesh.Material and Methods: A descriptive, cross-sectional survey was conducted from January to May 2024 among 100 interns at Pt Jawahar Lal Nehru Government Medical College. Data were collected using a Google form questionnaire, covering socio-demographic information and 20 structured knowledge-related questions on CCLS. The collected data were analyzed using Epi Info V7 Software, focusing on frequencies and percentages. Results:&amp;nbsp;The majority of interns were under 25 years (95), with a slight male predominance (56 males). The experience distribution was 1-2 months (34), 3-4 months (36) and 5-6 months (30). High knowledge levels were observed, with 89 correctly identifying CCLS and 75 knowing the first step in CCLS. Overall, 44 interns scored Very Good, 35 scored Good, 13 scored Fair and 8 scored Poor. Significant associations were found between CCLS knowledge and age (p = 0.025), gender (p = 0.037) and months of experience (p = 0.024). Conclusion: The study reveals a generally high level of CCLS knowledge among interns, with notable gaps in specific areas such as the frequency of training refreshers. Customized training programs, regular updates on resuscitation guidelines and hands-on training sessions are essential to improving CCLS proficiency. These measures will enhance the emergency response capabilities of interns, ultimately improving patient outcomes in cardiovascular emergencies.</abstract></article-meta></front><body /><back /></article>
