This study explores the awareness and knowledge of Hernia among the residents of Himachal Pradesh, a region with unique health considerations. Materials and Methods: A cross-sectional survey was conducted from August to November 2023, involving 400 adults residing in Himachal Pradesh for a minimum of 12 months. A Google Form questionnaire assessed demographic details and knowledge about Hernia. Data were analyzed using Epi Info V7 Software and ethical considerations were prioritized. Results: Findings revealed a noteworthy overall awareness level (68.5%) but identified critical gaps in understanding risk factors (55.75%) and preventive measures (51.25%). Gender and geographical disparities indicated the need for targeted interventions, with males and urban residents exhibiting higher awareness. The study underscored the importance of timely intervention (64%) but revealed a need for enhanced education on treatment options (45.75%) and the potential for recurrence (48.25%). Conclusion: This study contributes to the discourse on Hernia awareness in Himachal Pradesh, highlighting both strengths and areas for improvement. The findings emphasize the necessity of tailored health education initiatives, incorporating culturally sensitive approaches to bridge knowledge gaps and foster proactive healthcare-seeking attitudes.
</article-meta></front><body /><back /></article>
