"Lumbar Literacy" delves into the awareness and knowledge levels among the general public in Himachal Pradesh, considering the region's unique demographic and cultural nuances. Material and Methods:&amp;nbsp;A cross-sectional survey design was employed in the state of Himachal Pradesh from July 2023 to October 2023. The study encompassed 400 adults residing in the region for a minimum of 12 months. Utilizing a Google Form questionnaire, participants were assessed on socio-demographic factors and knowledge regarding preventive measures for LBA. The scoring system categorized knowledge levels as very good, good, fair, or poor. Results:&amp;nbsp;Of the 400 respondents, 25.75% demonstrated very good knowledge, 31% good knowledge, 25.5% fair knowledge, and 17.75% poor knowledge regarding preventive factors for LBA. While a majority showed awareness of posture and engagement in physical exercises, knowledge gaps were identified in dietary habits and specific stretching exercises. Conclusion:&amp;nbsp; The study underscores the need for context-specific public health strategies in Himachal Pradesh, acknowledging the influence of lifestyle factors, age, and cultural practices. Bridging knowledge gaps could enhance lumbar literacy, contributing to proactive approaches in mitigating the burden of low backache.
</article-meta></front><body /><back /></article>
