Despite its importance, women's awareness of menopause varies due to factors like education and location. This study assesses menopausal awareness among women in District Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, aiming to identify knowledge gaps for targeted interventions. Methods: A cross-sectional survey was conducted between April and July 2023 among 400 menopausal women. A Google form questionnaire covered socio-demographics and 20 knowledge-related questions. Data were analyzed using Epi Info V7. Results: Findings revealed varying levels of awareness among participants. Notably, 68.75% recognized sudden menstruation cessation during menopause, but only 25.75% understood hereditary factors affecting menopause timing. Misconceptions existed, such as thinness accelerating menopause (30.5%). Some aspects, like hot flashes (71%) and osteoporosis risk (66%), were well understood. However, only 37.75% recognized increased cardiovascular risk, highlighting an essential knowledge gap. Addressing misconceptions and gaps through targeted campaigns and education is vital. Conclusion: While many women displayed good awareness, specific aspects of menopause require attention. Empowering women with accurate knowledge is essential for informed health decisions during this transformative phase. This study forms a foundation for public health initiatives to enhance menopausal awareness in District Shimla, Himachal Pradesh.&amp;nbsp;
</article-meta></front><body /><back /></article>
