This tumor accounts for about less than 0.01%of all malignancies. DFSP mostly affects people in age group of 25-5yrs.These tumors have a long clinical history, usually are highly locally recurrent and rarely metastasize. DFSP are located mainly on the extremities and trunk area. The treatment of DFSP consists of surgical resection mainly by Moh’s technique or wide local excision. DFSP is mainly located on the extremities, and a wide local excision may result in functional or cosmetic compromise. After a resection if the margins are positive there are high chances of recurrence. Radiotherapy is a good option in such conditions as an adjuvant modality. Radiation doses of 60-66 Gy have been reported to be effective in some studies, however detailed data is still insufficient. Here we are reporting a case of DFSP shoulder treated with wide local excision with positive margins and treated with radiotherapy as an adjuvant with a dose of 66 Gy.
</article-meta></front><body /><back /></article>
