Multiple effect evaporators are important in unit operation process for industry. For instance, they are widely used in the production of raw sugar from cane sugar. The main objective of this work is to develop program in MATLAB software for the design of multiple effect evaporators system for different operating conditions in forward feed used in Asalaya sugar factory. In this design a short tube vertical evaporator, Calandria type has been used. In this study, design of selection of type of evaporator using some parameters is presented for multiple effect evaporator system. This study describes a steady state model of multiple effect evaporators for simulation purpose. The model includes overall as well as component heat and mass balance equations and heat transfer coefficient and area calculation for all the effects. As result of calculations, it has been found that about 5.54 of steam economy and the efficiency of multiple effect evaporators equal about 81.94%.&amp;nbsp;</abstract></article-meta></front><body /><back /></article>
