Umar</surname></name></contrib><xref ref-type="aff" rid="aff-a" /></contrib-group><aff-id id="aff-a">Literature, Department of English, Federal University, Gusau</aff-id><abstract>This work takes a look at the Marxist theory as a tool, with a view to understanding the works of Abubakar Gimba. This paper focuses on and examines Inner Rumblings from a Marxist perspective through an analysis of themes, form, and all other poetic devices. This work looks at Inner Rumblings by identifying the Marxist ideas of the writer under study. This is done through the contents of the writer’s published poems. The poetry collections of Abubakar Gimba, are examined, thereby, exploring the Marxist ideas observed in the lines of the poems. This study measures the poems of Abubakar Gimba and establish how Marxist inclined, the poems are. The Luckacsian reflection Model of Marxism serves as the most suitable model for this paper. The research finds out those Marxist ideas in the diction and contents of the poems. After the findings, it was established that Abubakar Gimba has Marxist inclinations and these inclinations were spelled out in this paper.</abstract></article-meta></front><body /><back /></article>
