Currently, China makes connections with South Asian countries through hard and soft infrastructure systems. For an objective assessment, the paper based on the theory of Liberalism and Realism in the study of international relations as a framework to assess the motives and impacts of China's "infrastructure diplomacy" in South Asia. By using policy analysis, the paper find out that from 2012 to 2018: (i) the motives of Chinese policy in the implementation process at the national, regional, and international levels aim to clarify the multi-objective of civilians and the building-ability military bases abroad through its infrastructure projects in South Asia; (ii) specify the ways and tools of policy implementation; (iii) thereby, provides some assessments of the impact of this policy at the national and regional levels on South Asia.
