Box 767, Bolgatanga, Upper East Region, Ghana</aff-id><aff-id id="aff-b">S D A College of Education, Box 29, Agona Ashanti, -Ghana</aff-id><abstract>The study aimed at assessing the gender perception on vocational education at the Bolgatanga Technical University. In all, 60 administrative staff and 40 lecturers were involved in the study.&amp;nbsp;A survey design was used for the study. A stratified random sampling technique was employed to select 100 lecturers and administrative staff in the University. Questionnaire was employed as the main data collection instrument. The data were analyzed through frequencies, percentages and means. A 5-point Likert scale was employed for the closed-ended responses where 5-strongly agree, 4-agree, 3-uncertain, 2-disagree and 1-strongly disagree. It was found out that both lecturers and administrative staff perceive higher vocational education to be accepted as conferring more benefits to Females than males with a mean of 4.70, 4.73 respectively. The study concluded that lecturers and administrative staff perceived teaching experience of teachers as the major factor that influenced the effectiveness of vocational education in the institution.</abstract></article-meta></front><body /><back /></article>
